Rochelle serves as the operations manager for Box Six and acts as the lifeline for the company handling all of the day to day operations. Outside of Box Six, Rochelle's primary career is in dance.  She is currently the Director of Dance at Mater Dei High School and is on faculty at the American Ballet Theatre Gillespie School.  Previously, she danced with RhetOracle Dance Company and BARE Dance Company, danced on TV/live musical performance, and was the Commercial Dance Conservatory Facilitator and faculty member at the Orange County School of the Arts.  Rochelle has a long history with Varsity Brands, having taught dance camps for the United Spirit Association and judging regional/national/international competitions for UDA College Nationals, UDA National Dance Team Championships, USA Dance Nationals,  IASF/USASF Dance Worlds, and USA-Japan Nationals.

She has also been on staff with Pulse Percussion since 2011 as the choreographer and a key part of the gold medal shows in 2014, 2016, 2022, 2023, and 2024.  She additionally choreographed for Pulse for their appearance on America's Got Talent in 2023.

Rochelle has a Master of Arts in Dance and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance from Cal State Long Beach.

Fred Emory Smith began composing shows for Box Six in 2022. He has been playing and studying music since he was a child and grew up in the marching activity and eventually studied music composition at Berklee College of Music, where he received the Doug Timm Award for Outstanding Musicianship in Film Scoring. Fred brings a unique set of skill sets to the marching arts through not only being fluent in winds, percussion and sound design composition, but also is a current full-time film and tv composer!

Outside of the marching arts, Fred is an award-winning composer working in various media genres.  Now having considerable experience working on many different films, TV shows, and video games, some of Fred's work includes Transformers 3, Need for Speed: The Run, Disney's Penn Zero: Part-Time Hero, Star Wars: Forces of Destiny, Marvel's Agents of Shield, Starz's Outlanders, and CW's Supergirl. Fred has composed the music for two HBO TV shows: Grace and Halfwords, winning Best Music Composition for Halfworlds in the 2017 Apollo Awards.  Another big accomplishment was to work as a music arranger for the 87th Academy Awards.  Recently, he won Best Feature Film Music at the 2019 Burbank Film Festival for his feature film, Rock ‘n' Roll Eddie. His current projects include working on the animated series Star Wars: Galaxy of Adventures for Lucasfilm and a new thriller feature film entitled The Book of Judah.

Fred has extensive experience composing and arranging for various high school marching bands and indoor drumlines around the country. Fred has been arranging percussion for the Santa Clara Vanguard Cadets since 2013, where they have won four Open Class Championships.  He is also the sound designer for the Troopers Drum & Bugle Corps, and works with the Blue Devils Drum & Bugle Corps as their sound designer, including the 2019 season where they won DCI World Class Championships. Fred's drum corps experience included performing as a snare drummer with The Academy in 2001, the Santa Clara Vanguard Cadets in 2002, and the Santa Clara Vanguard from 2003-2005. Fred's teaching credentials includes working with the Colts Drum & Bugle Corps, The Academy Drum & Bugle Corps, and the Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps.

Darren Loney is the Director of Instrumental Music at Gahr HS in Cerritos, CA. After reinstating the competitive marching band program in 2013, Gahr High School has been undefeated in the CSBC Circuit, winning the California State Band Grand Champions in 2014-2021. Gahr High School was the 2022 Western Band Association Class 4A Champion. Also, Gahr's concert and jazz ensembles have consistently received unanimous superior ratings at adjudicated festivals.

Darren holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music CSU Long Beach, where he studied trombone performance with James Miller, pricipal trombonist of the LA Philhatmonic. During his credential work, he was the inaugural recipient of the Bob Cole Conservatory "Music Education Award." Darren was a marching member of the Pacifc Crest and Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps and currently serves as the brass arrange of Pacific Crest. He is an avid music arranger and drill writer for ensembles throughout Southern CA.

Darren was recently awarded the "Certificate of Merit for Marching Excellence" from the National Band Association for outstanding contibutions to marching bands. Darren was named 2014-15 “Teacher of the Year” at Gahr HS.
Darren holds membership in the Southern California Band and Orchestra Association, California Music Educators! Association, the National Band Association, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, the International Thespian Society, and the Golden Key International Honor Society. Darren is also an adjunct guest lecturer at the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at California State University, Long Beach. He has presented as a guest speaker at conferences for SCSBOA and the Kansas Bandmasters Association. Darren resides in Lakewood with his beautiful wife Laura and daughter Lauren.

Trent is a full-time percussion arranger and educator from Southern California, currently studying Music Composition for Film, TV, and Video Games at Berklee College of Music. He serves as Front Ensemble Caption Head at Pulse Percussion and Chino Hills High School. Trent is also the Front Ensemble Arranger/Sound Designer for POW Percussion, Thesis Indoor, and Civitas Independent.

Since 2016, Trent has assisted with front ensemble arranging for music publisher Box Six. In 2020, he began writing and publishing shows with John Mapes. From 2017–2024, he ran and designed for the percussion program at Gahr High School. His previous front ensemble arranging and sound design credits include Mandarins (2025), Pacific Crest (2023–2024), and Gold Drum and Bugle Corps (2021–2022).

His marching experience includes Santa Clara Vanguard (2018), Pulse Percussion (2016–2020), and Blue Stars Drum & Bugle Corps (2015–2016). He is a member of the Vic Firth and Zildjian Educational Teams.

Frankie is a music educator and designer based out of Rancho Cucamonga, California. His performance experience in the marching activity includes The Mandarins Drum & Bugle Corps, The Blue Stars Drum & Bugle Corps, POW Percussion, and Pulse Percussion from 2017-2020. Frankie graduated with a degree in Percussion Performance at Cal State University Long Beach, is a member of the Vic Firth education team.

He mainly works with Etiwanda HS as the front ensemble arranger and caption head and has been on the Pulse Percussion staff since 2022. He was the front ensemble arranger for Gold Drum & Bugle Corps from 2023-2024 and became the front ensemble arranger for Pacifc Crest Drum & Bugle Corps in 2025.

This is Jacobs 1st year on the Box Six team. He marched with Impulse in 2017, Odyssey Indoor in 2018, Vanguard Cadets in 2018, the Santa Clara Vanguard in 2022, and performed in Pulse Percussion from 2019 to 2023. Jacob received his Bachelor's in Music Education from Cal State Fullerton. He currently teaches at Chino Hills HS and Townsend MS, and is also a bass technician for the starting in the sumer of 2023 at Phantom Regiment and has been on Pulse Percussion staff since 2024.

Jacob also arranges wind, front ensemble and battery music for a variety of schools in Southern California. 

Eric Shriver is a composer, arranger, and educator for percussion based out of Southern California. He is currently the Percussion Director and Battery Arranger for Etiwanda HS and Rancho Cucamonga HS. He is also currently the Percussion Director and Battery Arranger for Pacific Crest Drum & Bugle Corps and the Battery Arranger and ensemble cordinator for POW Percussion.

Previously, Eric has been: Percussion Director at Gold Drum & Bugle Corps, Snare Tech for The Cavaliers, Percussion Caption Head and Battery Arranger for the Blue Stars, Snare Tech for the Bluecoats, and Snare Tech/Ensemble Coordinator with Pulse Percussion. Eric has a Bachelor of Arts in Music (Industry Studies) from California Polytechnic University (Pomona, CA). Eric has performed with the Bluecoats, Pulse Percussion, Black Knights, Pacific Crest, and RCC Marching Band.

Eric is a member of the Zildjian, Remo, Yamaha, and Vic Firth educational teams and lives in Rancho Cucamonga, CA, with his Wife Amanda and Daughter Charlotte.

Connor previously marched with Pulse Percussion, POW percussion, Mandarins, Blue Stars, and the Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps. He has also been on staff at the Bluecoats as the snare tech since 2019 and recently became the percusion caption head for the Mandarins Drum & Bugle Corps. Connor attended California State University of Long Beach and received his Bachelor's degree in Film & Electronic Arts. He currently works as a Freelance Videographer and Digital Artist based out of Cypress, CA.

Cory has been involved in marching percussion for over a decade having marched as a member of Holy Bass in the Cadets of Bergen County, 1993 DCI Division II Champions Carolina Crown as well as an instructor for Esperanza Drum and Bugle Corps and Esperanza WGI Independent World Finalist group in 2004. 

In August of 2008, Along with John and Ian, Cory launched the business and web presence of Box-Six.com. Cory basically ran the behind the scenes of Box Six from 2008 to 2013. Although too busy to continue the day to day work, Cory is still involved as a consultant. 

Cory holds a Bachelors in Business Administration with Honors from James Madison University and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Southern California.
