"Round and round and round we go, where we stop, no one will know..." Revolutions uses this simplest of ideas, the exploration of circles, to create a visual and musical journey. Using smooth melodies and curvilinear sounds, the music mirrors the feel of circular revolutions.
Through the highly coordinated use of props, choreography, drill effects and corresponding musical framework, a simple circle can inspire an entertaining production that is both crowd friendly and intellectual. Potential visual ideas include use of hoops, rolling wheel-like props, and circular stages.
This show was originally commissioned for Los Alamitos HS in the fall of 2015 and was released for the 2017 indoor season as a custom version adapted for indoor percussion.
