This Curated Mind explores the psyche of the collector, examining the fragile line between passionate collection and dangerous obsession. What begins as admiration for beauty, rarity, and meaning slowly transforms into a consuming need for control and possession.

Throughout the production, the Visual Ensemble represents the collectors, carefully preserving and protecting the objects that define them, while the battery serves as the living artwork itself — admired, displayed, and at times controlled like priceless masterpieces. As the show unfolds, the relationship between collector and collection begins to blur, creating a world where beauty, precision, and obsession collide.

This show was originally an Independent World class finalist at WGI Championships in 2026 performed by POW Percussion. This show was released for the 2027 indoor season and was written by Eric Shriver and Trent Gronewold with program coordination by John Mapes.
